It’s getting harder and harder to teach children to be trustworthy, honest and truthful in todays material world of self-importance. Remember the scene in the movie “Boys Town” where Father Flannigan offers little Peewee some candy for being a good boy for brushing his teeth? Peewee first takes the candy, but then gives it all back because he knows he didn’t brush his teeth. Most parents hope to be able to instill strong traits of honesty and trustworthiness in their children. The best way to teach children is to show them through our own actions. There’s a saying that “our kids are our own fault.” Children learn by example, be sure to always give good ones.
