Being smack in the middle of flu season one of the best things anyone can do is so simple; frequently wash your hands and avoid crowded places. In addition I make sure my family eats lots of homemade chicken soup made from organic ingredients such as free range chicken thighs, carrots, spinach, noodles, parsley & cilantro, Celtic seas salt – and tons of fresh chopped garlic. The secret is to use lots of garlic – this soup has countless times stopped the beginnings of a cold dead in it’s tracks in our family. We also use Nasal Wash Bottles at the first sign of any congestion, most drugstores sell them. Just don’t share one, each member must have their own wash bottle! Always make sure to wipe down any shopping cart or door knob when out in public. Many stores supply the wipes today, I carry a few individually wrapped wipes on me at all times. Eating a healthy diet will keep your immune system strong to fight off all the bugs out there. We rarely get sick and we’ve never had the flu – so we know this regime works! All it takes is a few preventative measures. Check out this article for more helpful hints: http://www.healthywomen.org/content/article/natural-ways-prevent-and-manage-flu
