I remember well the bedtime struggles when growing up. The laughing, the pillow fights, the tickling, the pure silliness and endless bouts of “gotcha last.” The jumping back and forth from one bed to the other until one or both fell off the bed or crashed into the dresser only to make believe we were sound asleep when our parents rushed in to see what all the racket was. That’s often what happens when you share a room with a sibling. With my own children bedtime wasn’t as bad because they didn’t share a room, but there were still those moments when they would be in cahoots’ and sneak in and out of each others rooms and not go to sleep. For some parents the nightly ritual of trying to get the kids to go to sleep can be a nightmare.
