I remember fondly the ritual of being tucked into bed every night after a nice long play bath – then being sang to and read a story. I had the honor of being my mothers first baby. She was a young brand new mom with me, everything was magical and a “first” for both of us. She was excited to be a mother and anxious to do everything right. We cooked and baked together, made countless crafts together, played endless games together. Music was constant, along with singing and dancing. My fondest memories are of those years when my mother was young and so eager to be a good mom. The laughing, the music, and all the fun we had when life was so easy.
Be sure to make fond memories with your children when they’re young, a fun bedtime ritual is a perfect way to start. Make special memories with each child because the dynamic changes with each additional birth. Every stage with each child calls for new memories. Remember, you can never go back and add memories later!
