I cherish all of the many letters I receive. This one below has especially touched my heart…so much that I have printed it in its entirety.
“Late in the evening I placed an order on-line for a beautiful pendant. At the same time, I called you and requested that you send it out to me as quickly as possible, because my wife was due very soon. Due to computer glitches and changes of address, my credit card would not go through, but you made every effort to complete the transaction for me, including three different calls to my home. The persistence and patience that I witnessed that evening was second to none. I was assured that I would receive my pendant on time, and I did.
The story continues… My wife’s water broke at 3:00 a.m. and shortly thereafter we went to the hospital to deliver our first child. Nearly 10 hours later, I realized that there would not be anyone to receive the delivery of the pendant. I quickly called my 16 year old brother-in-law and asked him to get it from the Post Office for me. As he arrived, he found that they had closed 5 minutes before. Again, kindness and patience saved the day. One of the postal employees volunteered to stay and helped locate the pendant for us. My brother-in-law raced the 35 miles to the hospital, and arrived in time for my wife to have your pendant, and the explanation of why it is so precious, before she delivered.
After the delivery of our son, I noticed that my wife was wearing your pendant on the same chain as her small, cross pendant. It was a perfect fit because in the upper right hand side (as you face it) the cross offset the baby and showed the importance of the union between mother, child, and Christ. I just wanted to share our story with you and to thank you for all of the kindness and patience that were bestowed upon us.”
